Since Sandy went to Nicaragua to build a house in 2009 she focused on contributing to others and created the NEXT STEP Philanthropy Program.
We want every effort at NEXT to mean something. More than helping grow businesses, we want to help others in LIFE. The NEXT STEP Philanthropy Program is the reason we work so hard and passionately every day. A portion of each project’s revenue is directly placed into our NEXT STEP Philanthropy Program to support others in need both locally and globally.
Directly aligning to NEXT values, the NEXT STEP funds are donated to local organizations who are helping families and children in need. The NEXT STEP is honoured to support the North Vancouver Youth Hostel Family Services Program, North Shore Food Bank and is an active committee member of the Women United in Philanthropy, United Way.

In 2010, the NEXT STEP philanthropy program expanded to support local North Vancouver community initiatives as well as the international organizations we support. Through the NEXT STEP Program, Sandy supports the Hollyburn Family Services Society in North Vancouver and contributes to the North Shore Youth Safe House; a place where youth can come and find a comfortable and secure place to stay. The Safe House is staffed by caring and friendly youth workers 24 hours a day, 7-days a week.
